Interesting weekend. Think I made the test, don't know yet but the limit was very low. First part of roleplaying was great fun, to my surprise. Fuurai was fun to play, the adventure too, and the system didn't bug me as much as usual. Four 1's in a bloody row was amusing rather than annoying, since I actually looked like having a chance in the fight anyway.
Unfortunately, the Call of Cthulhu part of the evening wasn't as fun. Idiot GM wasn't particularily bright. "Why don't your perfectly normal characters throw themselves over this?" Uh... duh? "Why didn't anyone make a police character?" Yeah. Why. Why didn't you ask, stupid? "It'd have been restricting." Then, DEAL WITH IT or tweak the story or... whatever.
Anyway. After a combined player effort we got underway. Heck, if it'd been retired-guy's son, we'd have helped him right away! But when it's his friend's son, and the police says it's all covered... well...
Whatever. I wasn't keen on it to start with, and I wasn't feeling welcome anyway. That guy has a very bad attitude to some things, and if you're not on the ok-list, you're tolerated but you're still not... you know, acknowledged. Thanks, yeah, thanks, you moron.
Today was shit. Oh, it was necessary and all, but still. We didn't argue, really. We just talked. About shitty stuff. And shit was shit. Fucked up shit.
We didn't really finish, but we got a bit on the way. I'd not have minded having him here some more, but oh well, he has lessons and so do I.
But I think I caved in, finally. I don't care anymore. I think my Unseelie legacy is Pessimist, but I'm not sure. Anyway, here I am. I'm not nice, I'm just bloody trying. And some less pleasant personality traits will now be more explored.
I'm not good in social situations. I know that. I'd appreciate some info about how to change, but mostly, just someone to get inside my head with a wrench to actually beat it the crap out of me, pull the switch and all. I'd like it to be that easy to change shit. Bad social skills are me.
Also, I'm a bit of a narcissistic perfectionist at times. So, I'll be late for school. And? I'll look perfect. No one can see behind the facade. Or wants to.
I'm not really interested in the goings on of this world. This might not be a particularily Unseelie trait, but I'll sure as hell ignore it as much as I can. I've got a new fantasy series, you see, and though I've only got two books left, hey, maybe it's time to read the last few of the fantasy section in the library that I haven't yet. That makes the time fly and gives me a respite, helps me leave the world to its own idiot ways.
Maybe I'll be that dangerous creature I warned about. Maybe. I don't know. That's just a part of me, not particularily tied to my Seelie or Unseelie sides.
But I'll sure as hell be darker, more negative, more cynic, more misanthropic. It might pass. I might flip again. I'm Sidhe, remember... But with Samhain just around the corner, I think I can allow myself to indulge, just a little earlier.
Maybe it'll all help me deal with some stuff, too. You never know. It's a definite possibility.
Haha, come dream with me, dreamer! If you dare! Glamour is free, change is good and passion before duty!
