I couldn't resist, could I? This is an Essence of Piraty, so to speak.
Eyes hurt. Bagbag. And back. Still no better since Saturday, and now I do have a futon, finally.
So. I ordered a computer Monday. It arrived Wednesday - but it it very difficult to cough up 225000:- yen just like that. Ooooouch!
Thursday I actually got my money, after an incredible amount of time and service fees. BAAAAG!!!
And my sweet, grey, smooth darling. It is not as cuddly as MacRoss, however. I have not named it yet, nor determined whether it is an he or she.
And tonight, me and Anders (http://jwhiskers.blogspot.com) will ask a friend to call Apple Japan to send us Tiger - since we both got Panther, and Tiger was released one month ago.... you'd think they would have managed to change it by now in their packaging, hm?
"Hottest on the school" as awarded by Anders yesterday!
Had fun for an hour while celebrating Tugana, one of the Mongolians. Laughter abundant. Liked it, but withdrew to wait for possible phonecalls. As always.
Tried Shorinji Kempo yesterday. It was fun. I might have found my unarmed martial art. Didn't hurt in my knees afterward, which is the biggest criteria. The teacher was cool, his flying over people standing curled up and then making a nice, smooth roll was awesome.
Tired. Tired tired tired.
Have strange assignment which I have no idea about where I should start. "Write about taoism and martial arts and the way they interact yada yada." Ooookay. Elaborate, please?
No?
Oh, well then....
Dolin is a coool teacher. It was forbidden to practice martial arts of any kind in the Soviet union, since "they have a philosophy" and the government found that scary. But anyway, Dolin was the first to do it. Many of his friends got persecuted and put in jail. Himself, he wrote the to this day best and most encompassing book about the subject, but had to wait 9 years before the first half could be published in Russia... the second was never published. The fact that the book was illegally taken to Germany and published there was a whole other story!
Yes. He is cool. Scary but cool.
Maybe I'll just go to bed. Didn't have lunch today, or, rather, used one of my old emergency-supply things, and took rice and vegetables. I know where this is going and this time, I can't cook by myself. Blast it!
Also, woke up at 6 am. HATE those white curtains! Give me darkness!
But I am thinking a lot about my situation, coming to insights and understanding my behaviour. Yeah, about half-time. Wish I could make more of this!

Hi there Elenaria!
Giving you a little comment, and saying that its really intressting to read about your time in Japan. Keep up with the good work!
QUESTION?
May I use just the picture of you, for a photoshop composite? It's to be a scence among a group of Elves, for my story pics.
As long as you mention the source if you publish it, I am happy. I have no idea who took the picture though, s/he insisted on being anonymous.
