What stings me most is not the fact that it hurt. It didn't start hurting real bad, even, but the pain was of the kind I know - the one that will take some days to go away and let me use my arm again.
What stings me is that once furking again I cried in public. ' the hell is my problem?
Sensee showed me and Anders a handlock, and I refused to fall. You're supposed to, because otherwise you straing yourself or break a finger or whatever.
Yes, just that. Stupid tendons.
I am like the pine, tall, strong and unyielding. But I break under the weight of too much snow, even if I do not die and can grow back to a small extent, I still break.
I should be like the bamboo, strong, suttle, and yielding yet nigh unbreakable.
Have always had a fear of falling. Always want to stay on my feet. Need to learn how to fall softly, yield like the bamboo.
I will try.
If I want to believe (oooh, can feel the Banality sneaking up on me!) that I am the last soul of a race long since gone from Arda - that is, here - I better start acting like it. Straighten up, calm down, and drop that blasted pride.
Even my guardian is scolding me sometimes.
Pride, pride. I can pretend some days it's not there, but I know, oh, I know it is. I want it gone.
But in one way I am like the bamboo. I always get back up, and I'll be damned if I don't this time. I always do. Do whatever you want to me, I always get back up. So there, you see now why I keep beeing, keep believeing, keep fighting and, in general, living? Hah!
