I'm a stupid one posting this late in the night. Oh well. The word means "jewel".
Back after a fun night of Warhammer Fantasy RolePlay. I like our shady group and my little ratcatcher. Days have been slow. Should DO stuff but have no energy. Am mostly... after lrp-social. Want to meet specific people. As always, but I'm less wonky in the head than I usually am after lrps.
Finishing off with this one, then... "Wishing you were somehow here again" from Phantom of the Opera.
You were once
my one companion
you were all
that mattered
You were once
a friend and father -
then my world
was shattered
Wishing you were
somehow here again
wishing you were
somehow near
Sometimes it seemed
if I just dreamed,
somehow you would
be here
Wishing I could
hear your voice again
knowing that I
never would
Dreaming of you
won't help me to do
all that you dreamed
I could
Passing bells
and sculpted angels,
cold and monumental,
seem, for you,
the wrong companions -
you were warm and gentle
Too many years
fighting back tears
Why can't the past
just die?
Wishing you were
somehow here again
knowing we must
say goodbye
Try to forgive
teach me to live
give me the strength
to try
No more memories,
no more silent tears
No more gazing across
the wasted years
Help me say
goodbye.
Disregarding the one word of "father" and a few references, it's pretty accurate. Too much luggage from http://beta.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gifthe past. Why can't the past just die? Bloody years, it takes. I'll probably become a decent person, too, but my view of the world is... slower. Longer. Put on a vastly different time scale, from just about everyone else. Even in process, things take years. ...sidhe it is, then, a satyr probably usually manages to do these things a bit more quickly.
It's summer. And I'm not in a hellhole of a depression. So despite all, I'm feeling fairly fine. The butterflies in my stomach, the sparkling smile and the little intakes of breath, they're all juuust as it should be.
Edit:
Right, twelve hours later, I found something very nifty:
Nyårshambo/New Year's Hambo
This band's from so far back in time that they're near forgotten by everyone. But I do like this song - do disregard the movie, just listen to the song and the text. Too bad they've nae got "Dans mot tiden" or "Dance against time" up.
