Save tonight.
Fight the breaking dawn.
Come tomorrow -
tomorrow I'll be gone.
And it hit me HARD. Realizations like this usually come over time. This one... due to the fact of me living more or less in the present for the past week - hit me today. Just now.
Woah. Can't believe I won't walk these hallways again. Say, had it not been for wolf and for Ikuekai and their darn food, well then...
Caught one helluva cold or something yesterday. 5 hours and down I went. Test today... well, so so. None of us did very well. It was darned hard! Written in a difficult way, and two sentences we all had missed before - and missed today again, due to No Explanation of what we'd done wrong the first time.
Ah well.
Cleaned room, packed my 60 litre bag. I am going to weigh it tomorrow... to see how much clothes I need to wear on the plane...
Some kind of sayonara-party. I got to see my host-family again - which was terribly, terribly nice. And teachers, for the last time.
I held a speech. And you know what?
People were silent.
You see, normally during "informal" things such as this, people chat and many pay no attention to anyone speaking from the podium. But I got their attention. All according to our dear Scarlet Apricot.
Might have been my cleavage. Or my general appearance.
But I HOPE it was my speech. I tried to give them advice, the students. And thank people. I made it a bit too long, but it seems it was appreciated.
Thank you, all.
Then came the Big Goodbye. Cameras flashing and so on.
And "You're leaving TOMORROW?!"
Yup.
Where is the good in goodbye?
I think it started to sink in somewhere around there.
Gonna miss you all like hell, and think about you. Kelly, Tony, Fang Li/LiLi, Meg, Yukari, Tseegi, Burmaa, Tugana, Burtu, Hiro, Anders (we started this, and now I feel kind of like I am... quitting before it is over), Yoko, Kenji, shorinji girl I never got the name.... all the teachers, all the faces I never got to know.
It HAS been part of my life for quite a while, it will take a while to readjust to "will probably never ever see you again".
Danced for some hours - GREAT for my cold or whatever it is. Thank you all for the fun time, and sayoonara.
Yeah. It's been good and it's been bad. I wish I hadn't had so many down-days. I wish I had tried to talk more.
But then again.
All that ever remains are memories. Didn't I learn that long ago?
Elenaria plugging out. Back home, back to dialup.
Miss you all. Love some of you. Like some. Bye.
